This is because the sound of each oscillator will influence the others. 4 Oscillator synths like FM-Four and Abletons Operator can do a lot with little effort, and can even fill multiple parts of your mix by putting individual parts on one or two oscillators, and the another distinct sound on one or two of the remaining oscillators. In this way you can get the most “bang for your buck” on the resources used by a single instance of the synth. With the multitude of controls on this Synth VST, we recommend one or multiple midi devices for control. It can be difficult to control sensitive emulated components like the Pitch and Modulation wheels, and specifically for these, as well as to gain velocity control of the keyboard, one may consider connection of one or more Midi hardware devices.
